Emerging Course Technologies Training and Support Liaison

• Liaise with disparate support units across campus in an effort to foster collaborative, complementary and campus-wide e-Learning initiatives.
• Implement, encourage, support and evaluate the effective use of emerging course technologies
• Facilitate e-learning workshops for faculty and staff. (WebCT/Vista, Weblogs/Wikis, Clickers, Other Social Software)
• Lead and support the Wimba Classroom / Wimba Voice project.
• Manage the Blogs@UBC initiative, including the development of a custom authentication system (WordPressMU and MovableType).
  
• Act as a consultant to other departments (such as Centre for Teaching and Academic Growth) on how to address their IT needs.
  
• Supervise and manage numerous work-study and co-op students involved in a wide-array of projects.
  
• Participate actively on several university-wide committees, such as the Course Management System Administrative Resource Team (CART)
  
• Promote communication and collaboration amongst course technologies users and support personnel, strengthening the development of a sustainable course technologies community of practice.
  
• Conduct needs analyses for computer and seminar style workshops related to online learning with various course technologies.
